What is the most important tip for Pitoresk shoe sizing?
Your Pitoresk shoes should initially fit tightly when you put them on. A perfect first fit is if your toes are touching the inside tip of your shoes.
The superior quality of our all-natural leather stretches with wear and conforms to the shape of your feet.
Place your foot on a flat surface backing up with your heel against the wall. With a ruler, measure the length from the tip of your longest toe to the back of your heel, in centimeters. Your longest toe does not have to be your big toe!
Check the size chart with your foot measurement in centimeters to find your US size.
EXAMPLE: For WOMEN’S: If your foot measures 24.70 cm (9.72 inches), your Pitoresk shoe size is Women’s 38.
EXAMPLE: For MEN’S: If your foot measures 26.90 cm (10.59 inches), your Pitoresk shoe size is Men’s 41

How long do I need to wear the Pitoresk handmade shoes before they’re broken in?
It mostly depends on how often you wear them and for how long. It can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.
Shortcut Alert! For faster break-in, wearing socks under your new Pitoresk shoes at the beginning, may shorten the break in process. Keep in mind, you’ll still need to take them for a few long strolls, to break in completely.
Is it normal to feel the stitching inside the shoes?
It is totally normal to feel the stitching inside your shoes at first. Pitoresk shoes are entirely stitched by hand. What you are initially feeling is the all-natural beeswax coated cotton twine which will settle with wear. As the customized fit begins to conform to your feet, you will no longer feel the stitching.
What is the difference between men's and women's sizes?
The main difference between the men’s and the women’s sixes if the width. The men’s sizes run slightly wider than women's sizes. Those with narrower feet, should consider using an extra insole. This creates a more gripping fit for our customers with narrower feet.
